Sixty-five years of married bliss. What was going on back in 1948? Harry S. Truman was President. George VI was King of England and Prince Charles was born. NASCAR begins. Airlift begins in West Berlin and Israel becomes an independent state. South Pacific opens on Broadway. Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Olivia Newton John and James Taylor are all born. Not a bad year for music. The highlight of the year would have to be the marriage of Pat and Mary Grady on July 3rd, 1948. Spanning over sixty-five years, three daughters, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The Gradys celebrated their big day with family and friends last Sunday. I was honored to photograph their day. Before the party began we had a conversation about how they met and what it takes to keep a marriage going for that length of time. I loved their SPUNK and their obvious affection for one another. Best wishes to the happy couple. A short video and a couple of my favorite images. Go ahead and leave the happy couple some good wishes below!
