Gabi | Indianapolis Indiana Bat Mitzvah
Last fall I met Gabi and her family. We were meeting to discuss her upcoming Bat Mitzvah and the activities they had planned for her day. What struck me instantly about Gabi was her poise. Gabi just had a way about her. She was quiet, reserved and measured with her responses. When she did respond, she seemed comfortable chatting with adults and had such a mature nature.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Gabi and her family as she became a Bat Mitzvah at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation. We spent time before the service taking family photos and then meeting with the rabbi. I was blown away by her ability to appear so calm while remembering all of her hebrew portions and she did so with ease and grace.
Gabi and her family moved to Indiana just two years ago and they were fortunate to have family and friends from all over the country come to celebrate. After the service and lunch, all of Gabi’s friends gathered for a Cookies and Canvas art party at The Renaissance Hotel in Carmel. The kids had a blast and created some wonderful, personalized art pieces.
The entire day was filled with laughter and joy. It was such a perfect day and I feel fortunate to have been a part of Gabi’s day in my own way. Mazel Tov, Gabi!!
