Becca + Jim :: Indianapolis Wedding Photography
Jim and Becca’s day dawned in glorious fashion. The sun was shining and the sky was vibrant blue. As I sit and type this so many memories of the day are running around in my head. I’m not even sure how to write all the intricacies of their day. How their families are so interwoven since Jim and Becca began this journey in middle school. They each have siblings who are now married and the relationship with those couples is so strong and vibrant. How Becca’s dad and his quartet buddies sang the blessing before dinner, or how her father introduced her first boyfriends to the crowd as they were in attendance and lifelong friends. Or how Jim’s best man (one of the aforementioned boyfriends), shared the brotherly love he had for Jim with great memories and laughter. Becca’s sister, Lauren, giving her speech in the form of song…sung to Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe” is forever stuck in my head..”married..they got married”. Jim’s groomsmen playing with the toys in the church classroom…boys will be boys:-) Watching the reaction as the ring bearer and flower girl came down the aisle with prescription bottles dragging behind the wagon…Becca is finishing pharmaceutical rotations. The cousin who is studying in Italy and was skyped in during the service. Or the dollar dance that went of for multiple songs because soooo many people wanted to dance with them…. and Jim was a member of the Notre Dame Swing Club and his guys and girls could SERIOUSLY cut a rug. There was the first dance as man and wife that most did not witness in downtown Indianapolis at White River State Park. A band was playing near the river and I gave a little nudge to the bridal party and soon all were dancing in front of the band. The crowd loved them!! The windy formals and Becca’s veil. The singing of Hail Purdue only to be matched with the Notre Dame song. The difficulty of cutting a wedding cake, the periodic table of elements that was used as a seating chart, and the 200+ guests who witnessed pure joy in their love. All of these memories bundled together created a day that was filled with joy. Congratulations on your wedding and I hope to see TONS of well wishing comments below for Becca + Jim!!
