Becca and Jim met in high school. As the story goes, Becca wasn’t too fond of Jim during their sophomore year of high school and she admits there were days that she would come home from school and be exasperated over “that Jim Ropa”. I’m curious if at that time her mother possibly chuckled to herself wondering if “that Jim Ropa” might be “the one”. A few years later Jim and Becca would be named Valedictorian and Salutatorian of their graduating class at Avon High School. And by graduation, “that Jim Ropa” had become, “the one”.
Fast forward four years and Jim and Becca are planning a wedding for next June. I am thrilled to be part of their upcoming day and we had a wonderful time this morning shooting in Washington Township Park and at The Metropolis in Plainfield. We met up at the crack of dawn…not kidding. We planned on a sunrise session at the park, however; it seemed that a HUGE mass of clouds thought it would be fun to hang over us most of the morning. Not to worry….we still came out with stellar images!!
After taking in the park we had a change of clothing and then made a stop at Metropolis in Plainfield. It’s a great outdoor shopping mall with lots of great color. The beauty of a session at 8:00 am is that hardly anyone, but the cleaning crew, is there. We had the place to ourselves. If not, Jim wouldn’t have been able to show off his swing dance moves in the middle of the street! These first two images crack me up. I was getting a shot of Jim and I told Becca to just whisper sweet nothings in his ear….she actually whispered, “Sweet Nothings”….and his reaction:-)
Our last stop for this engagement shoot was their high school….where it all began. Becca found the sign that pretty much sums up the day and them. So looking forward to your big day next year, Jim and Becca! Feel free to leave the happy couple some comment LOVE below…or share on Facebook!!
