Elly...The Millenium....and beyond....
|

Brebeuf Jesuit Senior PhotographyThis blog post is about Elly, but each time I photograph a senior I have known for a long time, it makes me kinda weepy:( Weepy that it just seems to be going so fast. Each and every year seems to be going in warp speed and I can't catch my breath. We, my family and I, met Elly's family in 1997 or 1998. The kids played soccer together on a couple of different teams. We enjoyed each others company and spent time together as the kids grew. Elly's family has a home on Lake Maxinkuckee and when it was time to ring in the new Millenium, we did so with the Hahn family (and a boatload of other folks!). I have vivid memories of the crazy discussions we had about what might happen at the stroke of midnight....we all wondered if anything, or everything would crash!!! Of course nothing happened, but my other vivid memory of that New Year was of 13-15 kids running crazy around the lake house, cooking Chicken Parmigiana for a house full of people, and laughing all night long.
So I couldn't just post an image of the current Elly....I had to go back to the archives to the crazy night of the New Millenium....Elly, front and center...seeming to be enjoying a glass of champagne (or sparkling white grape juice). And it appears that she may be singing!!! And to cap off the photo...a few DeTrude and Haseley children! |

| Alright...so back to Elly. Fast forward nine years later and we have Elly starting her senior year at Brebeuf Jesuit. She is a lovely young lady, just as she was ten years ago. Still playing soccer, enjoying her family and thinking about her future plans. |

| Here are those shots for your dad:) It is a great backdrop! |

And I know there seem to be quite a few of the blue striped shirt...but Elly, your eyes just POP with it on:) And remember that cruddy wall with the vines....photo on the right:) It was wonderful being with you guys again. I look forward to seeing you in a few weeks!

Zionsville Senior PhotographyI'm sure Taylor's father is thinking about new locks for his front door....who wouldn't when your daughter is such a stunner!! I'm sorry Mr. Hartline, but you and your wife are the responsible parties!! Taylor is such a sweetheart. Willing to go the extra mile for some great shots. She was most concerned about her serious shots....but as you can see, she did great!! She has wonderful style.......I'm not sure which of the 48 outfits I liked best:) (Kidding....but I did love them all!!!)
|

| This dress was absolutely adorable and perfect for showing off Taylor's LONG legs....I asked her to strut her stuff. She had a couple of false starts but BAM!!! She nailed it a few moments later. |

| And finally the black dress. It was soooooo cute. I loved all the layers. When I brought up both of these images I thought of a young Christie Brinkley. And if you have to ask who Christie Brinkley is....call me....we need to schedule your senior pictures!!! |

Zionsville Senior Photography Grant has a passion for flying....so where do you go??? The airport!! DUH! The folks out at Indianapolis Executive Airport could not have been nicer. The airport conveniently sits at the northern end of Zionsville. They let us use a plane out on the tarmac and even asked us if we needed it to be moved for better photographic positioning!!! Too cool! As is Grant in these photos.....even though I like the color photos...I think the black and whites are AWESOME!!! (I'm allowed to brag a bit!) |

| Wheels up and we were moving on to Main Street. Lighting is always great here anytime of day. A billion places to shoot and when you have gorgeous blue eyes it really helps too! |

Grant plays tennis for Zionsville and we had to go out to the courts to get a few of those. Fortunately the guys have three matches coming up this week so we can get in a few more. You were wonderful Grant!! Thanks Betsy for a fun afternoon....and no weeping when you see this. Perhaps I should have put that at the start of the post:)

Greek Goddess Divine.....
|

Carmel High School Senior PhotographyGreek families are a lot like Italian families. They are usually loving, loud, fun, and full of life. This family and their senior, Zoe, were no exception. As soon they got out of the car and said hello I felt as though I knew them already. We started with a few family images and then moved on to Zoe's senior shots. Wonderful afternoon even though it had rained all morning. Zoe's dad just looks like a very proud man...who wouldn't be, look at the women he hangs out with:)
|

| And then Zoe's dad and sister hit the road to leave us with the task of getting Zoe in the zone. I love seniors who enjoy every minute of the senior photography experience. Zoe grinned from ear to ear. When I asked for the serious shot...WOW!!! And then 3.2 milliseconds later she was cracking up! |

| Zoe is in the process of applying and deciding on schools for next year. Her two top choices...University of Cincinnati and Arizona State University. She is planning on studying Interior Design (she admits to moving furniture often!). I'm sure the student body of either school would be thrilled to have her...and I believe I might know a few guys in Arizona who might offer to help move her in to her freshman dorm if necessary. HA! |

| Zoe you are so stinkin' cute! |

| Lots of LOVE for the Black and White:) |

| When I feel my seniors will ham it up for me I will ask to see their goofy side. Or as Zoe's mom, Karen, suggested...their "whimsical" side:) Either way...this girl can bring goofy/whimsical!! |

| Zoe...I am in love with both of these images.....just saying. |

| She's working on her "Blue Steel".......against the steel door...while wearing blue! |

| Zoe....you totally rocked this session. It was wonderful hanging out with you, your momma, dad and sister. |

Shelby...Brad called...he LOVES your pictures:)
|

Zionsville Senior PhotographyNow Miss Shelby took a few minutes to warm up and work herself into the "straight face", which usually ended with her cracking up, however; she worked it all out FANTASTICALLY!!! Shelby you are adorable and so sweet to work with. The fact that you're a country music fan, and mentioned Brad Paisley first, is alright. I do love Brad but after seeing Keith Urban again this past weekend....WOWSER!!! Sorry....back to Shelby.
Great outfits, lovely smile, wonderful girl...put them all together and this is what you get. BAM! |

| Lovely smiles on the left....simmering look on the right:) |

| Thank you Cindy and Shelby for a fun afternoon. I love what I do and it's my clients who make it that way:) |
